Medium Houseboat at Mahakam River
Borneo Round Trip provided one big cabin upstairs with 5 participants, with a simple mattress and pillow. There is an open-air dining room, with a simple shower and toilet, kitchen at down stairs.
All meals with Indonesian style, refreshments and fruits are provided. There are a guide, a boat crew, a cook and a helper who would assist the guest along the journey. The houseboat size is 4 meters X 23 meters.
Klothok at Tanjung Puting National Puting
Overnight at Klotok in Tanjung Puting National Park is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! This traditional houseboat serves as accommodation, transport, and restaurant, generally for up to 4 – 10 passengers.
Mattresses and bedding will be provided on the deck of the boat which has a wooden roof stretching about 12 feet. The ends and sides are open to the elements but you will have a mosquito net tightly wrapped around the whole area. There is a simple cold water shower at one end of the boat along with a western-style simple toilet. The boat crew includes a boatman, a cook and a tour guide. A good variety of Indonesian meals are served on the boat (breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon snacks) such as coffee, tea and drinking water are readily available throughout the day.
