Sebangau National Park is a habitat for various types of wildlife, including the Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus wurmbii), proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus), gibbon (Hylobates agilis albibarbis), and clouded leopard (Neofelis diardi). The Bornean orangutan is the flagship species in the Sebangau National Park area. Based on the results of the population and distribution survey of orangutans in Sebangau National Park in 2015, there were approximately 5,826 individuals of orangutans in the Sebangau National Park area. Sebangau National Park also has a natural landscape, beautiful natural lakes, and the attraction of various bird species in their natural habitat, such as the Tong-tong Stork (Leptoptilus javanicus).

Trip by motorized canoe with a capacity for 3-4 passengers to Punggualas in the Sebangau National Park as one of the best peat swamp forest. Depending on the water level, we may need to walk more or less to reach the camp. In low water conditions, we need take a walk from the Punggualas estuary to forest camp. However, during the rainy season, the canoe can sometimes take us directly to the camp and accompanied by a local guide and porter service. Observe wildlife such as birds, lizards, otters, among others. Another way to explore Sebangau National Park, take a small local boat or klotok to the Koran River the closest border of the park. There is a boardwalk to enjoy the forest where if lucky you can see wild orangutan, or climb the observation tower to enjoy the scenery and watch many species of birds.
