Tanjung Puting National Park is one of the best places in the world to see Orangutan Borneo
One of the best places in the world to see orangutans is in Tanjung Puting National Park. They are living around the camp and will come to greet you. The young orphans who cannot yet care for themselves have to be taught how to climb trees and eat leaves, before back into the wild.
During the river trip we use a private traditional wooden riverboat, about 12m by 2m with a roof which forms the upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide’s team includes the boatman, a cook, and an expert guide. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the boat while observe the monkeys along the riverside. The boat has a simple mattress, pillow, bottled “mineral” water, mosquito net, kitchen, and a simple toilet.

Tanjung Puting National Park, Tanjung Harapan where there are the cutes babies of orangutan, many kinds of birds, macaques, probosci’s monkeys and other wonderful creatures of Borneo, Pondok Tanggui station the second rehabilitation center, Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest and also known as a research center for Orangutan. Trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, wild orangutan, birds, and another primate as well as tropical jungle plant. Pondok Tangguy the rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans, Pesalat replantation camp to see the process of replantation project or take this opportunity to hike in the forest. The Lamandau River, logging company, and rapids. Bakonsu Village longhouse, welcome dancing ceremony, Horn Bill Dancing Party. Tapinbini village a semi-modern Dayak village, Bolau hill, Dayak peoples doing their daily activities like working for rice field, and our local guide will show you how setting the trap for the animal and any kind of their daily activities.
