The trekking trip at Betung Kerihun National Park is exploring the upper river of Embaloh River. Using local wooden longboats driven by experienced motorists attack the fast current of Embaloh River. This journey takes some days in the river. Trekking through the world’s oldest rainforest. Discover the wild landscapes of Indonesia’s second-largest protected area in Kalimantan. The terrain is mostly hilly and mountainous. Including lowland forests and mountain forests. It is home to thousands of different plant and animal species.
Experience the unique chance to do jungle trekking at Betung Kerihun National Park and explore the nature and traditional culture of Dayak Iban tribe. Along the trekking, you have to cross a river and climb several river banks. Be prepared to experience “wet trekking”.
